One of the best ways to create connections is to not only show that you provide products or services but demonstrate your experience in these areas by providing tips, tools, and resources to help educate the visitor.  Sharing advice will show folks that you care about their well being and that you understand that serving well means going beyond the norm.  For instance, a restaurant can provide a few recipes. An energy company could provide heat saving advice. A accountant can provide easy ways to budget more effectively.
