Monique Bouchard grew up playing beside the banks of the Penobscot River in Old Town. After a brief exodus to Washington State after graduating from UMaine with a degree in Journalism and Mass Communications, she’s happily lived within a few blocks of her childhood home since.
Having worked in marketing and communications for two decades, Monique has focused on helping nonprofit, educational, and small business organizations share their stories with the world. Monique’s understanding of modern online technologies, particularly website development, enables organizations to share their stories in easily accessible, efficient, and inspiring ways.
Monique’s natural curiosity and diverse interests -music, religion, history, costumes, theatre, poetry, literature, food, games, and design- provide fuel and inspiration for all aspects of her life, both personal and professional.
Locals may see her dressed in Victorian undergarments leading folks through Bangor’s Devil’s Half Acre during one of her frequent portrayals as Fan Jones, the region’s most notorious madam of the 1800’s, for the Bangor Historical Society. Monique lives in a big house across the street from her parents, shared with her husband, son, countless books and costumes, and a perpetually cross two-foot-long bearded dragon named Westley Spikes.
