Orono is home to the University of Maine, the state’s largest university and has a unique spirit and energy derived from it’s university roots. Orono borders the state’s largest river and contains a wealth of natural assets, great for recreational use.
Sutherland Weston was hired by Orono to help shape its message and methods to be persuasive and prepared for business recruitment. Utilizing an existing brand, we worked with civic leaders and stakeholders to shape the message into a suite of professional materials and assets they could use in various ways.
The end result was a visually impressive and contextually consistent library of marketing and communication materials that can quickly tell their story, share their value and inspire interest from businesses to in their community.
Elizabeth, Cary and their team were readily available to us. We met in their “idea” room, where they listened to our ideas and we to theirs. They provided us with strong initial drafts and were ever adaptable to the changes we suggested. The result of this interaction was an image and message that now are incorporated into our web site, brochures, display graphics and ads.
Cary and Elizabeth are both deeply involved in civic and municipal matters in the Greater Bangor region. They “get it.” This, combined with their communications and marketing skills, make them a solid choice for municipalities and regions trying to compete and grow.
